According to Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 (Section 17 (1)) – if there is 20 or more employees at a workplace then there must be at least 1 health and safety rep for each shift.
After 20 employees: shops and offices: at least 1 for every 100 employees and the rest of the industry: at least 1 for every 50 employees.

Inspection Techniques

In the Incident Investigation unit we investigate an incident that really occurred and complete the necessary documentation.
The third unit: Inspection techniques are also practical and the learner will be able to effectively perform his/her Health and Safety Representative duties after completion of the course.
